West Coast Tropics was hired to provide a sophisticated and complimentary design to the homeowner’s brand new, custom built Windstar Home. The landscape design needed to match the Coastal Farmhouse construction and cover approximately 10,000 square feet of surrounding property. Large, sophisticated King Alexander Palms were leveraged in the backyard planters and served as a beacon from the Bay.

The homeowner also requested native, coastal plants like Sea Oats that can be found around our local beaches. These plants were installed to flank the perimeter of the backyard and separate the pool from the seawall. We incorporated unique alternatives to more traditional landscape palms, including Florida Key native Buccaneer Palms and collector palms like Cabada palms. A cedar-constructed, handmade herb planter was designed to mirror the Coastal Farmhouse theme.
